Nottingham Goose Fair is one of the UK's oldest and most famous travelling fairs, held on the Forest Recreation Ground every October. With over 500 stalls and rides, it's a Midlands institution.
The Goose Fair dates back over 700 years — it was first mentioned in 1284. Originally a trade fair where geese were brought in from the countryside, it evolved into the entertainment fair we know today. It moved to its current site on the Forest Recreation Ground in 1928.
